Jamal D. Mikell a.k.a. DJ J-Millie
Founder and creator of Rhythm and Beats SA. Jamal was born in Savannah, GA and grew up in Charleston, SC until the age of 12 when he moved to Germany. While living in Germany, Jamal gained a strong knowledge and background in various genres of music. His love of music followed him while serving his country in the United States Air Force – where he began his career as a DJ. Being stationed in different parts of the world Jamal quickly became known as “Mr. Everything” because of his ability to mix different genres of music during his sets. He has DJ’d for multiple military functions, weddings and private events, and music artists such as Paul Wall, Waka Flocka, and Yung Joc just to name a few. Once retiring from the Air Force, he set his goals on creating an experience for the people of San Antonio, Texas. Thus, Rhythm and Beats was born!

Mike Hayes a.k.a. DJ Magic
Mike Hayes (DJ Magic) is Rhythm and Beats' Chief Operations Officer and DJ/Emcee. Hailing from Colquitt, Georgia, Mike was originally recruited as a founding Rhythm and Beats DJ. He also coined the Rhythm and Beats name. From there, he formed a partnership with Jamal and the rest is history. His goal for Rhythm and Beats is to turn into a national brand and perform across the country and overseas. Growing up in Georgia, Mike first got the mixing bug at age 9 when he went to the Skating Rink for the first time. Feeling the impact that the DJ had on the crowd and himself, he knew being a DJ was his calling. He deejayed at parties in high school. While in the military, he honed his skills and performed at several base clubs and countless weddings and military events/balls. Mike has been fortunate to perform in 4 countries and host his own FM radio show.

Alex Tiggs a.k.a. DJ Tee Reckz
DJ Tee Reckz is a USAF retired vet and acclaimed DJ who has almost 25 years of experience in the game. He first started DJing in the year 2000 in Osan Korea, while serving in the military and quickly built up a following. DJing has afforded him countless opportunities from DJing on internet radio, hosting mixtapes, DJing for some of the biggest artists in the music industry, as well as helping curate the sounds for one of the biggest R&B day parties in San Antonio. No gig is too small or too large, just be ready to have a good time and engrave memories in your mind that you'll never forget.

Bernard Wah a.k.a. TDK
Tha Dark Knight is one of Texas’s best kept secrets. As a DJ who has been immersed in the culture for 20 years, he has made a name for himself providing high energy and a different kind of experience for crowds inside and outside the club. His journey first began in 2001 at St. Mary’s University. He was then just practicing mixing music in his dorm room along with his roommate as a hobby. That hobby exploded into a passion fueled by his love for music. It was shortly afterward that he began to network with other DJs and begin to learn more about the culture. Tha Dark Knight's style of DJing can be described as a high energy combination of technical skills and music knowledge. His style of DJing has been featured on radio stations across the country and has given him the opportunity to DJ in Atlanta, Killeen, Dallas, Mississippi and more.

Rodney Smith a.k.a. DJ Hollywood Hot Rod
Born and raised in Minneapolis, MN DJ Hollywood Hot Rod was raised around music. His father was a member of the Grammy Award winning Sounds of Blackness and a DJ. Additionally, his uncle was a DJ as well. It was an easy discission for him to follow in his families’ footsteps. His DJ career stated while in High School, DJ’ing school dances and helping at various events with his father and uncle. At the age of 16 he got his first club gig in Downtown, Mpls. During his time in MN he continued his passion by working at a record store, two record labels and four radio stations. He was an on-air personality with his own mix show and was the marketing director. His passion for music is a part of his life and he enjoys creating memories one song at a time.

Sumpter, a 23-year Air Force veteran, has seamlessly transitioned into a creative powerhouse in photography, videography, and music production as the founder of 3 to 360 Photobooth. With a rich background in music production, Sumpter’s collaboration with music DJs within the Rhythm and Beats movement has been nothing short of transformative. Their work, which beautifully merges the visual storytelling of photography and videography with the dynamic energy of live DJ performances, stands as a testament to their unique artistic vision. Thanks to a fateful introduction to DJ J-Millie, Sumpter has become an indispensable part of the Rhythm and Beats team, contributing to a shared vision that celebrates the power of music and visuals. Working closely with the team’s DJs, Sumpter enhances each event and project with their expertise, capturing moments that resonate deeply with audiences.
